Privacy Policy

Last updated 17 July 2026. What we collect, why, and who else is involved. We do not sell your personal data.

1. Who is responsible

2. What we collect

Account — your email address (for a sign-in code), or your GitHub username and verified email if you sign in with GitHub. GitHub OAuth uses minimal read-only scopes and we never store your GitHub access token.
Watchlists & layout — the tickers and dashboard modules you choose stay in your browser by default. They only reach our servers if you explicitly create an encrypted backup or set an alert.
Notifications — if you enable them, the tickers you monitor and the notices you receive.
Technical logs — standard request logs and basic, privacy-respecting analytics to keep the service running.

3. What we do NOT collect

We do not collect your brokerage credentials, holdings, cost basis, trades, income, or financial account numbers. Connecting an engine is read-only; we never receive money authority or broker access.

4. How we use it

Only to operate the service: authenticate you, deliver the notifications you asked for, keep your optional backup, and maintain security and reliability. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

5. Third parties (processors)

We rely on a small set of providers who process data only to run the service: Lemon Squeezy (Merchant of Record — payments & billing for paid plans), Neon (database hosting), Vercel (application hosting), and an email provider for transactional messages. Each processes data under its own terms and privacy policy.

6. Cookies

We use a small number of first-party cookies strictly to keep you signed in and to remember essential preferences. We choose privacy-preserving defaults and do not run third-party advertising trackers.

7. Retention & your rights

We keep account data while your account is active. You can sign out, delete your local watchlist at any time, and request deletion of your account data by emailing us. Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct or delete your data; we honour reasonable requests.

8. Children

MostlyNo is not directed to children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
